Gulliver 300

Celebrate the 300th anniversary of Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels

Sunday 25 October

2.30pm to 8pm

Cavan Courthouse

Embark on an imaginative journey through music, poetry, visual art, theatre, literature, and creative activities for all ages at this free event.

Experience Gulliver Bound, an interactive art installation where young people and adults can create their own artwork while listening to an immersive audio adaptation of Gulliver's Travels.

Discover The Sleeping Giant, a large scale illuminated lantern sculpture project and the Urney Church Audio Installation.

Audiences will also experience a spectacular digital projection mapping artwork, transforming Cavan Courthouse into a cinematic canvas to mark its 200th anniversary.

As darkness falls, a magical Dark Skies Lantern Parade will weave through the streets of Cavan Town to the Tesco Car Park for late night music.

Throughout the day, relax in the heated marquee and enjoy a poetry corner, food, coffee, sweet treats.

Gullivers 300 as part of the Cultúr 2026 programme will form part of Cavan Eco Féile and is delivered in collaboration with Creative Cavan and Cavan Arts Office.
