Fact or Fiction?
'Fact or Fiction: What it means to be media smart and safe online', is a booklet created to showcase the range of titles that explore media literacy, misinformation, disinformation, and online safety—across both fiction and non‑fiction. This resource aims to deepen understanding of how media literacy shapes everyday life while offering a practical starting point for conversations about these important topics among adults, children, and teenagers.

Have your say about AI - pick up a postcard in your local Cavan Library.

Age-Friendly AI, a national initiative led by TU Dublin and the Research Ireland ADAPT Centre for AI-Driven Digital Content Technology, has launched its “AI Opinions”, a FREEPOST postcard campaign to mark International Literacy Day. The campaign sees Age-Friendly AI partnering with libraries across Ireland to capture the thoughts and ideas of older adults on the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
FREEPOST postcards available in all Cavan Libraries, invite library users to share their hopes, concerns and ideas for making AI more age-friendly.
The postcards, which are easy to read and fill out, ask three key questions:
● What are your hopes for AI?
● What are your biggest concerns about AI?
● What ideas do you have for making AI more age friendly?
Anonymous contributions can also be submitted online using the “Share Your Thoughts” form on the Age-Friendly AI website: https://agefriendlyai.ie/share-your-thoughts/.
Opinions from all sources will be compiled in a publicly accessible database to help inform and guide the development of ethical and inclusive AI in Ireland.
