This year Cavan Monaghan Science Festival is celebrating its 11^th festival bringing science to life through practical demonstrations, workshops, and interactive experiences for people across Cavan and Monaghan.  This year's programme kicks off with the Big Family Stem Day in Mullagh Community Sports Centre this Saturday the 7^th of November where there is a fantastic day of immersive science planned for families. They can get up close and personal with dinosaurs, explore the stars in the Armagh Observatory Dome, become a scientist themselves as they conduct experiments and learn some life saving skills.  Throughout the week we will be joined by award winning science communicators for some fun family shows on topics such as the science of Superheroes and Exploring our oceans and seas.

Through the week...

There is a wide programme of events for adults such as the Annalee Mystery Bus Trip exploring the river and all its beauty, Cavan’s first Biodiversity Conference, a trip to Inis Escargot snail farm, a Brew school with Breifne Gael and a full programme of talks and workshops throughout the week.
