Orwin and Sebana: The Love Story of Lough Sheelin
A planned immersive and creative exhibition at Cavan County Museum for 2026.
Come and step back in time to the 1600's, through the medium of art and music by Kim Gaffney Art.
This community-based project focuses on using art as a medium to tell the story of a local legend. The project will include 2 community workshops to enable everyone to shape the themes of the exhibition. There will also be a number of artist led school workshops so local children can create art around the legend to be included in the exhibit (workshop dates to be confirmed. An artist’s mural, painting, a piece of harp music and videography of the castles and the lake will be part of this interactive and exciting depiction of a local legend.
This exhibition will be open to all to view at the Cavan County Museum from June 2026.
