The Interactive Museum of Languages for Young Audiences - IMLYA

The Interactive Museum of Languages for Young Audiences (IMLYA)

The Interactive Museum of Languages for Young Audiences (IMLYA) is a touring interactive exhibition for young people, their guardians, friends and families. It is a space to encourage trans-cultural and inter-generational dialogue about language. IMLYA provides an immersive creative experience for children, generating learning through play. All artifacts and elements of the exhibition have multiple meanings, stories and histories to discover.

Workshops and interactions with the museum open up a huge area for conversation around language, its presence, effect on our perception and understanding of the surrounding world.

This stunning exhibition is available to experience in the Events Space in Johnston Central Library, Cavan during normal opening hours from Tuesday 11 June until Saturday 22 June 2024.

Children and young people attending should be supervised by an adult at all times.

Exhibition by @Tomasz Madajczak facilitated by @kimmccaffertyindependantproductions.
