Creative Cavan are excited to launch a FREE workshop for parents of children with additional needs (aged 5-7 years) to maximise use of our NEW sensory toy library and provide opportunities for creative play.  Led by Deirdre O’Reilly, a Child and Adult Psychotherapist specialising in Play Therapy, this programme  will include 2 sessions (you must be available to attend both sessions). 

Location : Virginia Library

Date : Thursday 25 April 2024 - 6.30  to 8.00 pm is a parent only session where we will explore;

• Creative ways you can use sensory toys
• Benefits from using sensory toys
• Using sensory toys to build bonds between children and parents

It will be an evening of exploration and discovery from an adults perspective into childs play.  

Date: Saturday 27 April 2024 - 10.30 am  to 12.30 pm  You will then return with your child to utilise this learning and explore play around the sensory toys.

Spaces are limited to 10.  Both parents may attend on Thursday 25 April however only one parent per child may attend on Saturday 27 April.  In order to tailor the workshop effectively you are asked to complete (anonymously) a needs assessment and post evaluation questionnaire.  To register for this FREE workshop please click here.
