A year after launching the community arts project Bringing St. Brigid’s Cloak to Life, the Cloak will became part of the County Museum’s permanent collection.
Creative arts facilitators, Morag Donald and Bee Smith, who jointly led the Brigid’s Cloak project, held arts and poetry workshops to celebrate St. Brigid’s Eve on 31st January 2026 to coincide with the launch of this permanent exhibition.
The finished cloak represented a year long project which engaged with community groups of all ages to bring together the outside layer of the cloak (images) along with a lining (poetry).
