Temporary Road Closure - L3544, Monaghanoose Bridge

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends has made an order to close to public traffic and pedestrians, the roads described hereunder from 8am Monday 22nd June to 5pm Friday 17th July for the purpose of Bridge Rehabilitation works at Monaghanoose Bridge (Bailieboro).

Roads Closed

• Local road L3544 from its junctions with the L3539 & L3543.

Alternative Route

• Traffic travelling east on the L3543, will be diverted left onto the L7580 to the junction with the R165, then east on the R165 to the junction with the L3539, then south on the L3539 to rejoin the L3544.
• Traffic travelling west on the L3544 wishing to continue on the L3544 will be diverted right on the L3539 to the junction of the R165 and turn west on the R165 to the junction with the L7580, turning south to rejoin the L3544

Local traffic in the area will be accommodated as much as possible but there will no through road at Monaghanoose Bridge.
