24 August 2022

Beidh an chéad chruinniú eile againn ar Déardaoin 1 Meán Fómhair 2022 @ 1.00i.n. i Leabharlann Cheannais Mhic Sheáin. Tagann baill an gClub Leabhar le chéile ar an chéad Déardaoin de gach mí um lón i Leabharlann Cheannais Mhic Sheáin, An Cabhán.

Is é an leabhar a phléifimid ná ‘Ar Luch agus ar Dhuine’ le John Steinbeck. ‘Ar Luch agus ar Dhuine’ is Colmcille Ó Monacháin’s wonderful Irish translation of Steinbeck’s classic ‘Of Mice and Men’.

Eagrán álainn Gaeilge í seo den tseanchlasaic le John Steinbeck ‘Of Mice and Men’ a céadfhoilsíodh in 1937, ceann de mhórshaothair na haoise seo caite. Ghnóthaigh an t-aistriúchain seo gradam de Bhaldraithe ag Oireachtas na Gaeilge 2020. Beirt spailpíní iad George agus Lennie I gCalafóirne i dtríochaidí an chéid seo caite. Fathach urrúnta “ar chiall na bpáistí” é Lennie agus bíonn George ag tabhairt aire dó. Bígí linn chun blas den úrscéal a fháil.
