Our Primary School's service ensures that every Cavan child has, through their school or classroom, access to the very best of Children’s Literature and to the joys of reading.
We welcome all schools and pre-schools to avail of the wide variety of services we offer. Our libraries are packed with award winning materials designed to sow and cultivate the reading seed in our younger members.
We encourage teachers to:

Come and explore our libraries - Discover how we organise our materials and speak with our staff in order to familiarise yourself with what we can offer you!
Bring your class to visit a library - Let the children roam freely to discover for themselves what's on offer. Our staff can arrange guided tours and help children to get the most out of their local library. A story-telling session for your class can be organised at some libraries, adding to the fun experience!
Borrow from our libraries – Its simple! All you have to do is register your school with us by getting your school principal to complete a membership form. These membership forms are available from any of our libraries.
Avail of our block loans – Each class may borrow a set number of books, The number of books is set at the time of registration. All school block loans are for a 4 week period!
Join us for Library Events/Festivals – During the curriculum year, our libraries run a huge amount of events designed for class visits i.e. Art workshops, writer visits. We encourage you to Subscribe to our Newsletter and to check out Library Events often so as not to miss out on the fun activities happening in your local library.
